By accessing or playing Sectorum at sectorum.net or game.sectorum.net (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
2. Account Creation and Security
- Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to register an account and play Sectorum.
- One Account Per Player: To maintain fair play, players are permitted one active player account per game universe unless explicitly authorized by game administration. Creating multiple accounts ("multi-accounting") to gain unfair advantage is strictly prohibited.
- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You are responsible for all activities occurring under your account.
- Real-Money Trading (RMT): Selling, buying, or trading game accounts, in-game credits, ships, planets, or resources for real-world currency or out-of-game goods is strictly forbidden.
3. Rules of Conduct & Fair Play
Sectorum is designed as a fair, competitive multiplayer space strategy game. Players must abide by the following rules:
- No Automation or Botting: The use of automated scripts, bots, macros, auto-clickers, or unauthorized third-party software to automate gameplay or interact with game endpoints is prohibited.
- No Exploits or Bug Abuse: Intentionally exploiting software bugs, logic flaws, or glitches for economic or combat advantage is forbidden. Found bugs should be reported immediately to administration.
- No Harassment or Abuse: Hate speech, harassment, severe toxicity, threats, spam, or impersonation of administration or other players in chat or player communications will result in account suspension or termination.
- System Integrity: Attempting to reverse engineer, attack, overload, DDOS, or gain unauthorized access to game servers or databases is strictly illegal and subject to immediate ban and legal action.
4. In-Game Currency & Virtual Assets
Sectorum is free-to-play. In-game commodities, credits, ships, sector holds, and planets are virtual game state assets provided solely for entertainment within the game environment:
- Virtual assets have zero real-world cash value.
- We reserve the right to rebalance game mechanics, reset galaxy state during scheduled season wipes, adjust commodity rates, or modify virtual assets to maintain fair and balanced gameplay.
5. Service Availability & Maintenance
We strive to maintain high service availability, but Sectorum is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We reserve the right to perform emergency maintenance, update code, restart servers, or modify features without prior notice.
6. Intellectual Property
All title, ownership rights, graphics, code, artwork, audio, branding, and text associated with Sectorum are owned by Sectorum and its creator. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and play the game for personal, non-commercial use.
7. Termination of Account
We reserve the right to suspend, penalize, or permanently terminate any account that violates these Terms, engages in cheating/botting, or disrupts the community, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sectorum and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your access to, use of, or inability to use the Service.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
